Global Update

Volume 1, Issue 11

In this report, we are reviewing Global Industrials which we highlighted last week in our Technical Tuesday report as a sector which has been improving in our model score in recent months. We have ranked and reviewed the components of the of both the Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI) and the iShares Global Industrials ETF (EXI) from which we have 30 U.S and 26 Non-U.S. long ideas.

Our approach in utilizing a multi-factor model is to objectively quantify stocks that have the underpinnings which a portfolio manager would want to see where the intermediate to long-term absolute and relative trends are favorable or improving. As we have stated in prior reports, we are not interested in the short-term noise of the market and individual stocks. Finding the inflection points and staying with what is working remains our focus.

Attached you will find two PDFs with long ideas from the two areas mentioned as well as the two ETFs with highlighted comments and their historical score. Both ETFs and all stocks are using the All Country World Index (ACWI) as a benchmark. The attached spreadsheet has the universe reviewed from which one can screen on a number of criteria we look at.

Happy to review names that may not be covered in this universe.
